Mara Sopa Lodge

Mara Sopa Lodge - Masai Mara

Rating:4 Star
Sopa means "Welcome" in Maasai language. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is set in the Oloolaimutia valley, where the lodge totally blends in perfectly with its surrounding hillside landscape. The accent here is on the Maasai people, and the fabulous wealth of wildlife, bird life, and natural flora to be found in the fabled Masai Mara National Reserve.

Location:
The Mara Sopa Lodge is  in  Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya?
The lodge is located 206 km south of the Equator on the eastern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in southwestern Kenya, 2 km from the Oloolaimutia Gate. The reserve, the best-known game area in East Africa, is 1,120 sq. km of prime safari wildlife-viewing territory bordering the Serengeti National Park.
The lodge has an altitude of 2,104 meters (6,400 feet) above sea level, and because of the cool breeze through the valley it is located in, it enjoys warm days and cool evenings. The April / June, October / November rainy season ensured that the reserve is verdant almost throughout the year.
