Day 1: Nairobi-Lake Nakuru National Park
Upon arrival at the airport and clearing customs/immigration formalities, you will be met by our representative and transferred and embark on your dream safari adventure of Kenya descending into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Arrive in time for lunch and short rest. L. Nakuru is a shallow soda lake, renowned for its huge concentration of flamingos. It is also a Rhino sanctuary. The afternoon game drive is included with a walk to the Flamingoes at closest range and you will return to your lodge as the sun sets! Day 2: Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast climb the Western Escarpment of the Rift Valley and head towards Masai Mara. With its vast open plains and distinctive flat-topped acacia trees, acacia trees, no visit to Kenya would be complete without a visit here. Enjoying views of picturesque Masai tribesmen herding cattle on the way, you arrive in time for lunch and a well deserved rest! Afternoon game drive includes searching for the Big Five, elephants, Buffalos, lions, Rhinos and leopards, before returning to your lodge as the sun sets! Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve
A full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes (full day game drive including visits to Mara River, Kenya Tanzania Border Post and a great chance to view the “Big Five”. Enjoy the Great Migration if lucky! You will have lunch at Hippo Pool. Return to your lodge late in the afternoon). Dinner and Overnight: Mara Ashnil Tented Camp or similar B,L,D.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha
After an early breakfast you drive to Lake Naivasha, arrive in time for lunch. You can have an optional boat trip on Lake Naivasha with a visit to Crescent Island in the afternoon. Crescent Island is where part of the movie, “Out of Africa” was filmed and it has a variety of wildlife including Giraffe, Zebra, wildebeest among others. Your walk on island includes an up-close view of these wildlife. This is a very scenic and relaxing place to unwind with its commanding setting at the foot of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Lake Naivasha is one of the gems in a necklace of Rift Valley lakes, has a variety of bird life and hippo colonies. Dinner and overnight: Naivasha Sopa or similar (www.sopalodges.com ). Day 5: Lake Naivasha- Amboseli National Park
Depart after breakfast and journey to Amboseli, arrive in time for late lunch with an en-route game drive to the lodge in the back drop of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dinner and Overnight! Amboseli Sentrim Tented Camp or similar B,L,D (www.sentrim-hotels.com) Distance: Approx. 380kms – 5hrs drive.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park
A game drive through Amboseli takes you across this vast lakebed – often dry, but still very swampy in some areas. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of elephant – you will often find many of them standing knee-deep in the water, spraying themselves to keep cool. But there is a lot of other game here too – cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, many types of gazelle and other plains game- and it is all set against the amazing backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory. Both morning and afternoon game drives are included. Dinner and overnight -Amboseli Sentrim or similar (B,L,D).
Day 7: Amboseli National Park- Tsavo West National Park
Renown to host the huge concentration of African elephants and other plain games. You will drive through the SHETANI LAVA (aftermath of the formation of Mt. Kilimanjaro) on to the crystal clear springs water that is known as the MZIMA (lifeline) springs which supports the life line of this semi arid park. An afternoon game viewing is included. Day 8: Tsavo West National Park -Tsavo East National Park
Pre-breakfast morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and check out for Tsavo East. Leaving the Majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, you will drive through the endless plains of Amboseli and on to the main highway to Mombasa. With plenty of baobab trees and breathtaking sceneries, you will arrive for lunch at the lodge. An afternoon game viewing is included. Dinner and Overnight: Aruba Lodge www.ashnilhotels.com B,L,D. Day 9: Tsavo East – South Coast (Diani Beach)
Pre-breakfast morning game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast and depart out through the vast endless plains dotted with Baobab Trees and colorful tribesmen with ever smiling faces and further south into Mombasa city ( a second largest city in Kenya) and further south onto Ukunda for your beach holiday. Day 10: South Coast (Diani Beach)
