Day 1: Kampala – Drive To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Have an early breakfast and depart from Kampala and head Western Uganda. A brief stop at the Equator provides an opportunity of photographing.

Continue to the rolling hills and terraced landscapes of Kabale District. Have lunch in Mbarara town and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for a night.

The travel time from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is about 7 to 8 Hours.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Gorilla Tracking & Cultural Entertainment)

After an early morning breakfast and guide briefing, set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests of Bwindi.

This Park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken to find them and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The trekking time is unpredictable.

Though the time spent to track down these Gorillas is unpredictable, the thrill of spending time and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience.

The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they play and interact.

A packed lunch, drinking water will be carried along as you track, comfortable boots or sturdy shoes, as well a light rain jacket are also important due to the unpredictable weather of Bwindi Impenetrable forest.

Walking sticks will be available from the park rangers. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour.

The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. In the evening, proceed to the village for a cultural walk to interact with the local people.

Participate in captivating traditional performances presented by Women’s groups or orphan children groups.

Note that the fees you pay for these performances go directly to improve the welfare of families around the park.

Day 3: Bwindi Morning Game Drive – Drive To Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have an early breakfast and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha. A game drive en-route offers a chance to see lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species.

Enjoy the unique evening 2-hour launch cruise on Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The trip passes through the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge.

The launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.

The travel time from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth is about 3 hours.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Game Drive)

Early morning cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, followed by a game drive along Kasenyi track in search for lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo among others.

Later return to the lodge for late breakfast and relax at your lodge/ camp.

In the afternoon, go to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee tracking where you will also encounter other primates such as the baboons, Colobus monkeys and Vervet monkeys among others.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Drive to Kampala
After breakfast, you will depart for Kampala through the beautiful Fort Portal route. You first stop point will be Fort portal for lunch.

Fort Portal is a land of Crater lakes, hills, and irresistible sceneries, with the giant Rwenzori Mountains evidently punctuating the skyline’s background – the Mountains of the moon.

After lunch proceed to Kampala/ Entebbe arriving late evening.

Travel time from Queen Elizabeth to Kampala is about 7 to 9 Hours.
