The Park also offers sanctuary to huge numbers of native African animals including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos and, occasionally, leopards.

A large herd of hippos have a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive To The Masai Mara Game Reserve

0800 Hours: After a leisure breakfast at your Nairobi Hotel, depart overland to the Masai Mara Game Reserve-jewel of Kenya’s Game Park.

Masai Mara National Reserve is considered a “must see” for any new visitor traveling on a safari to Kenya.

Masai Mara is the best place to see the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalo) together. The famous wildebeest migration also takes place at the Mara.

1200 Hours: Arrive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. After check-in we have lunch followed by some rest time.

1500 Hours: Depart for the afternoon game drive. The Mara is also home to the richest concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo),

Day 2 & Day 3: Full Day In The Masai Mara Game Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve (also known as Masai Mara or the Mara). We spend the day on morning and afternoon game-drives.

The Masai Mara provides the best view of the famouswildebeest migrationas the animals cross the Mara River between July and August.

Day 4:  Masai Mara Game Reserve – Drive To Lake Nakuru National Park

0800 Hours: Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley, upon arrival proceed on a game-drive.

There are also a number of Rothschild’s giraffe. Among the predators are lions and leopards, the later being seen much more frequently in recent times.

The Park also has large sized python snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.

1300 Hours: Lunch then relax as you enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Nakuru National Park.

1500 Hours: An exciting ‘Spice’ game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant.

The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch.

The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork.

It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

1830 Hours: Return to the lodge/ camp for overnight
