Day 1: Arrival, meet and greet – Nairobi – Note: LANDING VISA REQUIRED
Meet our representative at the Airport upon arrival and transferred to Panafric hotel. Our Airport rep will brief you on the adventure to come. Rest of the day at leisure or optional activities includes visits to Giraffe centre, where you touch and feed the gentle Rothschild Giraffe, or visit the Karen Blixen museum famed for the “Out of Africa” movie. Day 2: Nairobi- Amboseli National Park
You will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel after breakfast or upon arrival at Airport and embark on your dream safari adventure of Kenya through the vast endless open plains of Athi and on the whistling Acacia trees of Masai land. Just about 2 hours driving southwards from Nairobi, and on a clear day, you will be watching the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro also known as the Roof of Africa. You will arrive in good time for buffet lunch in the lodge. Short rest before your afternoon game drive begins. Explore the swampy areas looking for the Big four wildlife and plenty of birds that abundant in this semi- arid park. Return to your lodge as the sun sets! Day 3: Amboseli- Moshi (Tanzania) – Note: LANDING VISA REQUIRED
Pre- breakfast morning game drive in the park. After breakfast check out with packed picnic lunch box and drive to the Namanga border arrive and change cars and drivers, enter Tanzania and continue our journey to Moshi, commonly known as the gateway to Mount Kilimanjaro for a acclimatization, arrive and check into the lodge. Dinner and Overnight: Moshi Bristol Cottages. Distance: Approx: 240 kms – 4 hrs drive. BLD
Day 4: Kilimanjaro National Park (Trekking)
After breakfast and a short pre-trek briefing from the guide, you will be transferred to the gates of Kilimanjaro National Park (it is a 45-minute drive from Moshi to the Marangu Gate). Upon registering with park authorities, your climb will officially commence with a four-hour walk to the Mandara encampment. You will pass through a thick rain forest zone, where there is a high chance of rain in the afternoon. You will spend the night at Mandara Hut (2,750m), an attractive collection of buildings. Bathrooms are available with running water. Dinner and Overnight: Mandara Hut (BLD)
Day 5: Kilimanjaro National Park (Trekking)
Continue your ascent through the forest for a short time, before reaching the heather and moorland zone at roughly 3,000m (approximately a six-hour walk). Enjoy stunning views of the mountain peaks at this altitude. You will spend the night at Horombo Hut (3,720m), which lies in a valley surrounded by giant lobelia and groundsel, flora which are characteristic of this semi-alpine zone. Bathrooms are available with running water. Dinner and Overnight: Horombo Hut (BLD).
Day 6: Kilimanjaro National Park (Trekking)
Your trek continues through the final watering point, and ascends onto the saddle of Kilimanjaro, between the peaks of Kibo and Mwenzi. The vegetation thins out as you enter the desert-like alpine zone (approximately 4,000m) and, once you cross the saddle, Kibo peak comes into view. The saddle is an alpine desert that resembles a lunar landscape. Beware of signs of altitude sickness. This seven-hour walk will be taken at a slow pace. You will spend the night at Kibo Hut (4,703m), a comfortable stone construction (no running water at Kibo Hut). This semi-desert zone receives an annual rainfall of under 250mm; the ground often freezes at night, but ground temperatures soar to above 30 degrees Celsius by day. Few plants other than lichens and grasses survive in these conditions. Dinner and Overnight: Kibo Hut (BLD)
Day 7: Kilimanjaro Summit (Trekking)
This morning after midnight, you will commence your climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro, since it is easier to climb the scree slope to Gillman’s Point (5,861m) on the crater rim when it is frozen, and an early start for the six-hour hike improves our chances of reaching the summit in good time for sunrise. From Gilman’s Point, it is a further two-hour round trip along the crater’s edge to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. From the summit, it is downhill all the way to Horombo Hut where you will spend our last night on the mountain. Dinner and Overnight: Horombo Hut (BLD)
Day 8: Kilimanjaro Descent – Arusha
Today’s descent continues past the Mandara encampment to the bottom of the mountain, you will then be transferred to Arusha, where you will spend the night. Dinner and Overnight: Impala Hotel or similar (BD) www.impalahotel.com Distance: Approx: 80 kms – 1hr drive
Day 9: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Conservantion Area Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara with picnic lunch box. Famous spectacle being the tree-climbing Lions, catch the sights of Elephants, Giraffes, Wild beasts, Buffaloes, baboons and water Birds i.e. Flamingos and Pelicans. The green forest has got more than 320 species of birds, Mahogany, Figs and Sausage trees. Afternoon game drive is included, later drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Park. Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area Park
You will leave with packed lunch boxes and descend into the crater for a day long activity of game viewing. Ngorongoro crater is at the depth of 2,000 feet, this is caldera, created by the collapse of an extinct volcano, contains what might be called “LOST WORLD” of wildlife and in co-existence of cattle herding Masai. Over 30,000 different species of wildlife have been recorded here. You are sure to see the Black Rhino, Lions Elephants and even the cheetah among other many species. Wildebeest populations form a huge part of this and live in harmony with the cattle herding masai Tribesmen. Your day long game drive with include visits to the alkaline lake to view resident flamingos and a host of other birds. The crater is reputed to host one of the largest populations of hyenas and if lucky you may spot them over a kill. Day 11: Ngorongoro – Central Serengeti National Park
Check out after breakfast with picnic lunch box for the famed Serengeti National park via Olduvai Gorge Museum. The history of mankind is explored on a visit here, where in 1959, famed archeologists Leakey discovered the fossilized remains of the earliest known man, believed to be about 1.8 millions years old. Enjoy a colorful lecture on evolution of mankind. The proceed on to Serengeti, made famous by the movie ‘Serengeti Will Never Die’ With breathtaking sceneries and endless plains, you will arrive early for an afternoon game drive. Today your afternoon game drive will introduce you to the Big Five as well as the beautiful rocky outcroppings locally known as the Kopjes. Serengeti has the highest concentration of wildlife in the world and with the onset of wildebeest migration you will surely be left with ever lasting memories of a truly Out of Africa safari. Day 12: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for full day game drive. The breathtaking savannahs of the park are a stunning backdrop to a diverse and abundant wildlife population throughout the year. Serengeti is unique as its name, with plains, rivers and rocky outcroppings known as ‘Kopjes’ all have resident populations of wildlife and panoramas are breathtaking. Day 13: Serengeti – Masai Mara Game Reserve – Kenya
Early breakfast drive through Western Corridor Serengeti Park enroute game drive with picnic lunch, to arrive afternoon at Isabenia border where you will change vehicles and drivers as well. After immigration, head towards Masai Mara, with its vast open plains and distinctive flat-topped acacia trees, acacia trees, no visit to Kenya would be complete without a visit here. Enjoying views of picturesque Masai tribesmen herding cattle on the way. You will arrive after sun sets! Day 14 : Masai Mara Game Reserve
Pre-breakfast morning game drive in the reserve, a great opportunity to explore the vast flora and fauna of this magnificent reserve, home to Kenya’s most varied animal population. Lion may be seen throughout the park, along with elephant, giraffe and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly spotted, and you may also find rhino. After a rewarding game drive, return to your lodge for late morning breakfast. or A full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes which include visits to Mara River, Kenya – Tanzania Border Post and a great chance to view the “Big Five” and the great Wildebeest migration if lucky. Day 15: Return to Nairobi- Departure
Depart after break fast and journey back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at the world renown Carnivore restaurant www.tamarind.co.ke ; this is an African Barbeque restaurant where meat is charcoal roasted and served hot on your plate. Vegetarian Menu available! After lunch, you will be transferred to airport for your outbound flight. B,L, Distance 280 kms 5hrs drive. Please note
Any ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro requires a high level of physical fitness, and it can be difficult to adjust to the extreme altitude. The milder spring and fall months of July through October and January through March are the best times to climb the mountain.
Suggest Packing list for the climb

- The pack that the porters carry is limited to 15 kg (35 pounds)
- Store electronics in sealed water-proof bags (double sealed if possible)

- In the day pack, take along water, camera, binoculars, rain pants and jacket at a minimum. Add any other items you might need during the day because you may not see the porters until the end of your trek for that day.
