Day 1: Mombasa – Drive To Taita Hills Wildlife Game Sanctuary

0800 Hours; After a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Mombasa, you will depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Have lunch on arrival at Taita Hills Lodge.

After lunch, game drive in the sanctuary until sunset. During our afternoon game drive you may see lions, cheetah, baboons, giraffes, elephants etc.

Dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. Salt Lick Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure.

A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-store towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air-bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress.

The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind – you can see animals in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.

Day 2: Taita Hills Wildlife Game Sanctuary – Drive To Tsavo West National Park

Today we depart by road for Tsavo West National Park. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon ‘Spice’ game drive in this vast Park is planned.

The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops.

With a permanent water source, the Park virtually guarantees enormous herds and excellent game viewing including Cheetah, Lion, Leopard and Hyena and a herd of over 3,500 Elephants.

1030 Hours: After breakfast, continue with the mid-morning game drive in the park until lunch at the Camp/ Lodge.

1400 Hours: After lunch depart back to Mombasa arriving in the early evening. Transfer and drop off at your Beach Hotel/ residence.
