2 Days 1 Night Kibale National Park Chimpanzee Safari is a short overnight trip to Kibale National Park. The park covers an area of about 795 kilometers and it’s acknowledged to have one of Uganda’s most gorgeous tropical forests.

Kibale National Park has a huge forest with plenty of wildlife and among these include primates like chimpanzees. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations from the Uganda Safaris in Africa for chimpanzee tracking.

Kibale National Park is home to a vast number of species of birds as well as the greatest variety and concentration of primates found anywhere in East Africa; 13 remarkable primate species, including L’Hoests and red colobus monkeys flourish within the park.

To add to this the fact that the elusive forest elephant move seasonally through the forest and you can see why 2 Days 1 Night Kibale National Park Chimpanzee Safari is a superb safari destination.

The park itself is easily accessible with a good internal infrastructure; many of the facilities are community based, thus providing the local population with the necessary revenue to ensure the long-term protection of the area.

As the most accessible of Uganda’s major rainforests, Kibale is a home for over 13 remarkable primate species, including L’Hoest’s and red colobus monkey. The elusive forest elephant migrate seasonally into the developed part of the park.

2 DAYS 1 NIGHT KIBALE NATIONAL PARK CHIMPANZEE SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Kampala – Drive To Kibale National Park

Our chimpanzee Trekking tour guide will pick you from your Hotel for your journey to Kibale Chimpanzee safari Park (320 Kilometers).

The drive to Kibale will take you 4-5 hours arriving at your lodge in Kibale early afternoon. You will have your lunch in Fort portal town and proceed to the park and check in at your lodge.

You will have the afternoon free to relax or enjoy a 2 to 3 hours guided nature walk in the wildlife-rich Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for sightings of a variety monkeys, birds, trees, shrubs and vines.

You could also enjoy cultural performances and traditional dances among the two major tribes around Kibale Park (Batooro and Bakiga).

Later transfer to your accommodation dinner. Over night at any of the following accommodations:

Day 2 : Kibale National Park – Drive To Kampala

On day 2 of your Uganda Chimpanzee tour, your will have breakfast and assemble at your briefing point. Your primate walk will start from Kanyanchu River camp at 0800 Hours.

It will last for 2-4 hours and is the most popular walk, highlighting diversity of different animals and plants species within the forest.

This walk is restricted to three groups of six persons each, in the morning and the same number in the afternoon.

The search for chimpanzees and other primates including; The black and white Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Manga bays swinging through the dense forest and variety of bird species, butterflies and lots of insects in close quarters.

After the chimp experience you will return to your lodge for lunch then start your journey back to Kampala. Travel Time: 5 Hours. Expect to arrive at 1900 Hours.
